Active in the lubricant and engine oil sectors since 2013, the company has announced the signing of an agreement for the expansion of the exclusive distribution mandate for Petronas products to the provinces of Vibo Valentia, Catanzaro, Crotone and Reggio Calabria. These new areas are in addition to the areas of Salerno, Avellino and Potenza where the company already holds a mandate.
This is a partnership which reinforces and bears witness the winning symbiosis between the two companies which incessantly follow a path of growth in Campania, Basilicata and Calabria.
Mecar, year after year, has made the engine oil and lubricants business ever more a part of its core business strategy, managing to assume, in a brief time period the role of main player for the multinational in strategic areas of Southern Italy.
Founded in 1974, Petronas is at the head of a cast network of companies in the hydrocarbon refinement and energy sectors. In 2007 it acquired Selenia Lubricants from the KKK fund. In 2010, it became official partner of Mercedes for the Formula 1 championships.
