30 Jan Gianandrea Ferrajoli among the top 25 Lean Practitioners
A prestigious award for the CEO of Mecar Spa presented during the Lean Management Journal (LMJ) Annual conference in Amsterdam.
Innovation, training, continuous improvement, and staff motivation: once again Mecar Spa occupies blue ocean spaces, considering Lean Management an integral part of its growth strategy.
This was recognised during the course of the Lean Annual Conference on July 9th 2015, where CEO Gianandrea Ferrajoli was included in the top 25 Best Lean Practitioners.
Starting in 2009, Mecar has undergone a profound business restructure, opening doors to new markets, creating new business units and challenges up to the transformation of the business from to SpA in January 2015.
This prestigious award presented to Gianandrea Ferrajoli is the seal of approval on the numerous innovations introduced to the business, including:
- The Mecar Partners project, a programme which permits the company’s authorised workshops to access an integrated Business Intelligence System for the control of KPIs in real time (consignment sales for parts with dynamic stock based on speed of stock movement, automatic integration for the reduction of downtime and improvement in Fill Rate from 87% to 92%);
- The creation of an automated decision support system (DSS) for the parts business which has led to improvements in purchasing and planning (an increase of 24% in fast moving stock and a decrease of 17% in obsolescence from 2013-2014).
